In 1990, she founded her own production company, DD&Company Producciones SL. At the helm of DD she has produced 14 editions of WOMAD Cáceres (which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2011), 17 editions of WOMAD Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and one WOMADRID. In 2014, she brought the World Music Festival back to the Canaries with the rst edition of WOMAD Fuerteventura. Since 2000, she has been behindthe WOMAD festivals in Spain and Portugal. She has been nominated numerous times for the Grammy Award and won it for the Best Classical Album Production, with e Soldier’s Tale.She also set up the Festival Arrecife de las Músicas, which takes place in the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.bEATRIz ARzAMEnDIShe is head of the music departments of Madrid Canal eatres (Teatros del Canal) and is also vice-president of the Women in Music Association (Asociación Mujeres en la Música). In her career, she has directed both the Pozuelo de Alarcón Municipal School of Music Orchestra (Madrid) and the Arrasate Musical Symphonic Orchestra, where previously shehad been violinist. Her works have premiered in such prestigious venues as the Santander InternationalMusic Festival, the Quintanar de la Orden International Music Festival (Toledo), Casa de America (Madrid), Teatro Bellas Artes (MéxicoCity), the Juan March Foundation (Madrid), the Teatro Monumental (Madrid), the Teatros del Canal (Madrid), among others, as well as in Miami. Her catalogue includes symphonic works, chamber music, cinema sound tracks, choral music, electro-acoustic music and numerous arrangements for orchestra and di erent chamber music groups.
