La obra pasó por herencia a la casa de Altamira, en donde se per- dió la relación con Crayer, llegando a ser considerada una copia de Jordaens y después obra de Jan van Kessel. En el siglo XIX pasó por varias colecciones privadas inglesas y en 1958 fue adquirida por el Estado español con destino al Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores. l.r.g.

The work was inherited by the Altamira family, where the connection with Crayer was lost and it came to be considered a copy of a work by Jordaens and subsequently ascribed to Jan van Kessel. It passed through several English private collections in the nineteenth century and was finally acquired by the Spanish state in 1958 for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. l.r.g.
