Proyecto Ed. Encuentro de Editores Iberoamericanos 2015

The De Finibus Laboratory for publishing processes and reading is an ongoing programme for discussion and work whose main objectives are to establish and maintain: a platform for exchanging knowledge in benefit of books as symbolic assets and consumer goods; and a channel for communication that makes possible continuous reflection on the publishing trade, its current development and the future of the industry and on reading as an exercise of memory and identity and a collective and individual experience.

Between November and December 2015, the Laboratory is hosting the third edition of Proyecto Ed. / Encuentro de editores iberoamericanos, which brings together more than 20 Spanish-speaking publishers in the cities of Mexico and Guadalajara. The aim is to establish dialogue through roundtables, talks and special presentations and, at the same time, an itinerary consisting of venues that propose alternative routes to the conventional circuits for the production and circulation of books.

With the support of AC/E’s Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE), Silvia Bianchi, director of Libros Mutantes of Madrid and Garikoitz Fraga, an editor at Belleza Infinita, are taking part in this year’s meetings. This Spanish participation is the result of a visit paid by Analía Solomonoff, one of the members of De Finibus, to Libros Mutantes in Madrid with the aid of a Visitors grant awarded under the PICE.
