Open Studio is an annual initiative designed to promote and disseminate the visual arts. A selection of artists, both emerging and acclaimed, open up their studios for four days, with special emphasis on the creative processes. Open Studio not only provides visitors with the opportunity to discover how artists work but also gives artists the chance to promote and make their work known to professionals from the art world, both Spanish and foreign.
AC/E is collaborating through the PICE visitor grants by supporting the participation of international curators Dan Cameron (Chief Curator of Orange County Museum of Art, California, USA), Rosalie Doubal (independent curator and critic, London, United Kingdom), Katryn Meyer (Kunstverein Hildesheim, Hannover, Germany), Estelle Malmorbg (independent curator and critic, Sweden), Sandra Recio (independent curator, Lisbon, Portugal), Delfim Sardo (Director, Documenta 14 in 2017, a Pole based in Berlin, Germany), Jessica Vaughan (coordinator of programmes at The Showroom, London, United Kingdom) and Annie Aguettaz (Curator Images Passages, Annecy, France).
