Moscoso Cosmos. The visual universe of Víctor Moscoso

This exhibition covers the artistic career of Víctor Moscoso (Oleiros, A Coruña, 1936) through a careful selection of his work. Moscoso was a key figure in the counterculture movement of the 1960s in the United States. Along with other names such as Wes Wilson, Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse or Alton Kelley, Moscoso marked, through its two main facets, the design of psychedelic rock posters and advertising, and through the production of underground comics, a turn in the visual language of the twentieth century.

Moscoso has also designed logos, t-shirts, billboards and animations for radio stations, for which he received two Clio Awards. Additionally, he received an Inkpot award in 1979. He also received an AIGA medal in 2018.

Some of his works are part of the permanent collections of the Louvre in Paris, MOMA in New York, the Library of Congress of the United States in Washington D.C. or the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
