Madrid Choreography Competition 2017

Madrid Choreography Competition 2017

The Madrid choreography competition (Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid) is the oldest platform for choreographic creation in Spain. It invests in creators’ potential and fosters access to new audiences, the promotion of new talents, the inclusion of choreographers in national and international programmes, networking, and links between artists, projects and audiences in Spain, Europe and the Americas. The platform features workshops, meetings and talks during an action-packed week in Madrid and creates opportunities throughout the year.

The 31st edition of the contest is taking place at the Centro Cultural Conde Duque from 29 November to 2 December 2017. Twenty one companies from all over Spain will take part. The side activities will begin before that and will include workshops and meetings. The competition is a key meeting point for creators, planners, cultural agents and educators.

The AC/E Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) is making it possible for five prominent international planners to attend the event.
