Les Grands Concerts organises Baroque music, chamber music and romantic music seasons in Lyon. The concerts are held throughout the year at the Chapelle de la Trinité, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture.
With the support of AC/E through the Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture, this year two commemorative concerts are taking place in Lyon to mark the 4th centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes. The Spanish groups Capella de Ministrers and La Galanía will present Cervantès, Don Quichotte et la musique and Folies d´Espagne. Yo soy la locura respectively. Both groups’ programmes illustrate the extensive references Cervantes made to music and dance customs in Golden Age Spain.
