4th Europe in Versi Festival

4th Europe in Versi Festival

Como is hosting the 4th Europe in Versi Festival, which is aimed at exploring the relationship between poetry and music. The different institutions involved in this project carry out a personalised reflection on Spanish poetry and poetry translation today.

Several activities have been scheduled for this purpose in cooperation with different universities and centres of learning, where a workshop will be held on poetry translation based on the work of the Spanish poets  José María MicóJuan Vicente Piqueras and Luisa Castro. Those attending the workshop must translate the work of these poets and draw inspiration from them to create a specific musical commentary. A panel made up of poets, musicians and lecturers from Como conservatory and Milan University is in charge of choosing the best translations and musical interpretations, which will be performed during the recitals that are open to the city’s public.

AC/E is taking part in this festival through the PICE mobility awards by supporting the participation of Juan Vicente Piqueras, winner of the 2012 Loewe prize.
