Footnote to a Footnote*

"Footnote to a Footnote*" is an exhibition curated by Javier Hontoria that seeks to reflect upon the work of Spanish artists Lara Almarcegui, Patricia Esquivias, Dora García, Núria Güell, Alicia Kopf, Fina Miralles, Itziar Okariz and Julia Spínola in relation to Gianfranco Baruchello’s practice. Baruchello is one of Italy’s most prominent artists, even though he eschewed Italy’s relentless tendency to categorization.

The entire project, divided into two exhibitions, dislocates the works, fragmenting each theme addressed: among the works on display in the two locations a series of referrals and short-circuits are produced that the public is invited to discover.

At the Baruchello Foundation are exhibited works by: Lara Almarcegui, Patricia Esquivias, Dora García, Núria Güell, Alicia Kopf, Fina Miralles, Itziar Okariz, Julia Spínola.

While at the Real Academia de España are exhibited the works of: Lara Almarcegui, Patricia Esquivias, Dora García, Núria Güell, Alicia Kopf, Fina Miralles, Itziar Okariz, Julia Spínola and Gianfranco Baruchello.
