Edinburgh International Book Festival 2018

Edinburgh International Book Festival 2018

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is the largest and most successful public celebration of the written word in the world. Over 18 days in August, they run a programme of author events across a wide range of themes covering fiction, non-fiction and poetry, bringing together authors from Scotland and the rest of the world. In 2017, we ran over 800 events, while 250,000 visits were made to our Festival site.

The Festival has developed an excellent reputation for its international programme, bringing to Scotland a range of world class authors and discovering new international voices. The international strand of the programme is one of its most popular aspects and we aim to provide a platform to promote and nurture both established and emerging international authors each year.

This is an amazing opportunity for the Spanish authors to showcase their work and their country on an international stage. The Festival will not only bring their writing to a new and engaged audience, but also give them a fantastic networking opportunity, in our authors' green room (The Authors Yurt). They will have the opportunity to meet authors from over 45 other countries, publishers, publicists, translators and other festival directors from around the world.
