Desiderata 2019

#Desiderata is a project organized by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) with curatorship of Carme Fenoll to promote the presence of Spanish librarians at the main Latin American book fairs. It thus fosters professional exchanges between the various agents involved in the book chain and promotes direct purchases of books to improve the biodiversity of libraries. The programme starts the 2nd of May at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair 2019.

12.30 - 13.30 h .: Visit to Librería FCE. Costa Rica 4568, CABA
13.30 h .: Library
14 h .: Lunch
14 a 16 h .: Meeting with librarians and referents from popular libraries, the National Library and the Library of Congress: "Challenges and potentials of libraries today".
Place: Popular Library Sanchez Viamonte, Austria 2154, CABA.
16.30 - 18 h .: Meeting at CONABIP with references of Argentine literature. Current literary panorama. Poetry, narrative and publishing world.
18 h .: Visit to El Ateneo biblioteca.
Friday, May 3
10 h .: Opening act Book%. Purchase of books by librarians. Round table: "Good practices of the libraries of Barcelona
Saturday, May 4
Meeting with the Argentine press (1 hour meeting inside the Fair).
Visit to the Mariano Moreno National Library together with other librarians and specialists.
