Bologna Children’s Book Fair is regarded as the most important event of its kind in Europe. As a meeting point for publishers, writers, literary agents and even distributors and printers, its main purpose is to foster all aspects of the publishing business.
It has been taking place for 50 years and, in addition to its commercial side, it features a wide-ranging programme of activities (roundtables, lectures, debates, exhibitions) with an average of 20 daily at the fair venue as well as fringe activities in other parts of the city.
Inter Logos Srl. is an Italian publishing company specialised in children’s literature. One of the foreign creators it works with is Roger Olmos, an illustrator of children’s books with more than thirty publications under his belt and the White Raven, Llibreter and Lazarillo awards. Through the PICE mobility programme, AC/E is collaborating with Inter Logos by enabling Roger Olmos to attend the fair, where he will be able to present his work and establish contact with leading publishers of children’s and young people’s literature from all over the world.
