ARCOmadrid, currently in its 34th year, is a well-known meeting place for galleries, curators, directors of museums and biennials, and international collectors, owing in particular to its extensive discursive programme.
The ideas generated during the talks, discussion groups, forums and professional meetings of ARCOmadrid give rise to projects and collaborative arrangements that continue throughout the year. More than 200 galleries are taking part in ARCOmadrid 2015 – a fact which attests to the contemporary art market’s renewed confidence.
Colombia is the guest country at ARCOmadrid 2015. Juan A. Gaitán has selected ten Colombian galleries to take part in the fair with a specially prominent role: Casas Riegner, Doce Cero Cero, El Museo, Galería de la Oficina, Instituto de Visión, Jenny Vilà , LA Galería, Nueveochenta, Sexante, Valenzuela Klenner.
As in previous years, AC/E is collaborating with this event and supports the internationalisation of Spanish art by inviting different directors of centres and international curators, particularly from Mexico, Colombia and the United States, to take part in order to familiarise them with the work of Spanish artists and galleries.
