The show, through close on two hundred pieces, including manuscripts, letters, first editions, photographs, portraits of the poet, watercolours, newspapers, magazines... presents his life and literary works, along with the special relationship he always maintained with his homeland: Andalusia.
José Luis Chicharro Chamorro is the curator of the exhibition, which highlights the most significant aspects of the poet and this Andalusian town between 1912 and 1919, when the Seville-born poet taught as Head of French at the Instituto Santísima Trinidad, known at the time as the Instituto General y Técnico. The exhibition also shows visitors what Baeza was like during the era, and helps to explain the significance of the writer's time in the town, which was in 2003, together with Úbeda, declared a World Heritage Site.
