7th Pereira International Festival of Poetry

The university gave birth in 2007 to the Pereira International Festival of Poetry , which in its sixth edition brought together more than 10,000 people. Over the years, Spain has maintained a permanent presence in the Festival with poets like Virallonga Jordi, Juan Vicente Piqueras and Jaume Pont.

The Poetry Festival's goal is to return poetry to the public space through different activities that traverse Pereira and neighboring municipalities, as literary appreciation workshops, conferences and poetry lectures. The activities are intended for a popular public, especially for children and schools, where come of the workshops are developed.

Thanks to the first edition of the mobility program, AC / E collaborates with this lovely festival supporting the participation of the Spanish poets Juan Carlos Perez Mestre and Jose Ramon Ripoll.
