2018 sees the eleventh edition of "Las Líneas de su Mano”, with the principal goal of bringing writers and readers together generating an audience with criteria of a critical spirit: a meeting that takes place in school life, open to the general public, free of charge and inclusive, a festival where authors deal directly with their readers with poetry at the centre.
This eleventh edition of the festival centres on poetry. There will be talks, conferences, workshops, releases, recitals and concerts with poetry as the showcase genre. Authors from different countries will discuss the current poetical trends in the world and their impact on today's society and culture and their influence on new readers around the world. The strength of Spanish, compared to other languages, will also be acknowledged.
AC/E is supporting the presence by Spanish authors at the festival, which has always been one of its priorities ever since it was created. This has allowed for dialogue and exchange between poets from both sides of the Ocean to take place, leading to subsequent publications, new events ratifying and consolidating poetry in Spanish. Interdisciplinary dialogue also has a fundamental role in helping us understand within the same linguistic and cultural heritage.
