“Dance Connection”, one of the programs of this festival, introduces young artists who are expected to draw worldwide attention. In this year’s edition. they have invitee artists from Korea (SIDance) and Spain (MASDANZA).

Spanish dancer and coreographer began his career autodidactly in urban styles (breaking, popping and locking).Due to his curiosity towards other styles it didn't take him long until he learn more about academic dances such as contemporary, salsa and was formed in Pilates.
He received the Best Performer Award at MASDANZA. He will present his sharp-edged performance, in which he aims at a new style of dance by fusing urban with contemporary , as one of the leading contemporary dance.
Yokohama Dance Collection was launched 1996 with two goals o discover, present, and nurture promising young choreographers and to popularize contemporary dance. The key words for the 24th Yokohama Dance Collection 2019 are “METHOD / SPACE / PRESENCE”. For it, they select artists whose distinctive expressive modalities have ongoing creative influence internationally.
