Organized by the Network of Alternative Theaters, the annual Congress and Creation Meetings have the collaboration of the Santander City Council, the Magdalena Palace, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music), the SGAE Foundation and the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC / E) thanks to the Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture (PICE) in the Visitors mode.
The Creation Meetings are held between 10 and 21 November at the Palacio de la Magdalena, and are a space to encourage artistic creation among creators of different origins and backgrounds.
Along with the Meetings, the Magdalena Palace hosts the XXV Annual Congress of the Network of Alternative Theaters, which is held from November 19 to 21, with the presence of representatives of the 43 rooms that make up the collective. Together with these, thanks to the aid of the PICE grants of Acción Cultural Española, three representatives of Ibero-American networks from Argentina, Chile and Mexico come to Santander. In particular, they attend Julieta Alfonso, of the Argentine Association of Independent Theater; Verónica Tapia Courbis, from the Network of Theater Rooms in Chile, and Samuel Sosa, from the Organized Independent Cultural Space Network of Mexico City, with whom we will work on the search for models and international collaboration networks.
