Dickinson College is a major American university with an important Multilingual Writing Center that runs one of the best Spanish programmes in the United States. Designed to help broaden opportunities for Spanish writers in its area of influence, it regularly invites prominent Spanish-language writers to enjoy residencies at the institution. On this occasion writers Ana Merino and Manuel Vilas have been invited to spend three weeks there with the support of AC/E. During this period they will take part in various creative writing workshops with the university’s more than 200 students of Spanish, give public readings of their works, including at the US Library of Congress in Washington DC, and attend various sessions and visits to leading institutions.
