WOMADelaide 2020

WOMAD, the World of Music, Arts & Dance, was founded by the musician Peter Gabriel in the UK in 1982. WOMADelaide, the Australian WOMAD, began in 1992 & attracts 90,000+ attendances over 4 days. Held in Adelaide’s inner city Botanic Park it features over 60 groups from over 25 countries, 7 stages, performances, workshops, Artists In Conversation, Taste the World, The Planet Talks, DJs, kids’ activities , street theatre and much more.The audience is very diverse, aged from 0-80 years!

The 2020 program includes Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples, Blind Boys of Alabama, Salif Keita, Trio da Kali, Ezra Collective, Liniker e os Caramelows, orquesta Akokan, Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita, L Subramaniam, Iberi Choir & many more incredible artists from around the world & Australia

​AC/E supports the participation of Artefactum to perform at the WOMADelaide festival as well as conduct a masterclass in early/medieval music for tertiary students at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide.
