Waldhaus Konzerte Flims 2013

Waldhaus Konzerte Flims 2013

In western Switzerland, in an outstanding spot in the middle of the Alpine forests, near the Principality of Liechtenstein, Waldhaus Konzerte Flims is organising a special music session during the winter season featuring musicians from the international scene.

This year the Al Ayre Español group is taking part, with the support of AC/E through the mobility programme of the PICE. Founded by Eduardo López Banzo in 1988, it owes its name to the title of a fugue for guitar by composer Gaspar Sanz of Calanda (Aragón). Over the years Al Ayre Español has become not only a prestigious group but a philosophy of performance, endowing Gaspar Sanz’s title with content through great professionalism, reflection and performances. It won the National Music Prize in 2004 and is a flexible group that can adapt perfectly to different formats – Baroque orchestra and Classical-Romantic orchestra – and has visited the finest concert halls and music festivals in the world.
