The Vienna Climate Biennale is the world's first climate-focused art festival with the vision and innovative power of art. The Biennial wants to be a push towards a paradigm shift with a habitable and sustainable future for our planet. The organizers identify participation, collaboration and awareness-raising as key tools to achieve this goal and issue the poignant wake-up call that “we urgently need to find new ways to share knowledge and discuss strategies together!”
Among the featured exhibitions for this edition are "Ecologies of the South" which presents works by Spanish and Latin American artists that explore the relationships between nature, culture and society; and “Cities in Transition” which brings together projects by artists and architects working to create more sustainable cities.
The Biennial develops an extensive program between April 4 and July 14, 2024 with events, workshops, guided tours and exhibitions at various locations in the city.
AC/E supports the participation of Spanish artist Eva Fàbregas and the curator Filipa Ramos. Both participate in the Artists Forum where the role of art in the fight against climate change is discussed.
