Autoplacer festival is an initiative of the Colectivo Autoplacer/ Sindicalistas for CA2M Centro de Arte 2 de Mayo and is now in its 5th year. It is an event that brings together up-and-coming bands and musical projects that belong to the area of self-publishing in music and are related to independent management and distribution models, such as do-it-yourself musical production and other sustainable practices such as online distribution. From the outset, the festival has been committed to supporting emerging music projects, training in the field of self-publishing and interdisciplinary practices related to music, such as graphic arts, audio-visual creation (video clips) and performance, among others.
This year’s festival enjoys the support of AC/E through the visitor section of the programme for the internationalisation of Spanish culture which, in order to foster exchange links between international influencers and programmers from prestigious institution and Spanish creators, has facilitated the participation of Jose Luis Paredes Pacheco, director of the Museo Universitario del Chopo in Mexico; Luis Alberto Alvarado Manrique, director of the Festival Integraciones / Buh Records in Lima and Alfonso Muriedas, Festival Nrmal, Mexico.
