The Under the sun project aims to start a period of residences organized by ruber.contemporanea in the city of Palermo, Italy. In order to strengthen ties with contemporary art and also to create new links between established artists and those who are now entering the art market, contemporary ruber has organized this residence for the exchange of knowledge between two artists that concludes in an exhibition of the experiences lived.
Both Francesc Ruiz and Abel Jaramillo have been invited to carry out a project during the residency with the support of AC/E. The objective is that they represent in their new work social issues of the community of Palermo, its inhabitants and history.
ruber.contemporanea is a non profit association based in Palermo (Italy) which focuses its goals on the realization and promotion of events and contemporary art projects of national and international impact. Each project is based on the intense activity of collaborations within the territory.
