Trocas. Dance and education Spain–Brazil

One of the areas of action chosen by AC/E for the 2014–2015 period is Brazil, as it is an emerging country with a strong cultural focus and major cultural institutions. The aim is to intensify actions in the country in order to foster deeper mutual knowledge.

Within this strategic line of action, one of the activities scheduled by AC/E in the field of the performing arts is to join forces with the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, a leading name in contemporary dance in Spain, which has devised the educational project Trocas. Danza y educación España-Brasil.

This project is designed to promote an exchange leading to closer relations between institutions, teachers, educators, creators and artists in the field of contemporary dance in both countries. It is divided into two phases: the first will take place in the autumn of 2014 in various Brazilian cities with Spanish professionals as guests; and during the second, in the spring of 2015, professionals from collaborating Brazilian institutions will travel to Spain.
