Treasures and Ghosts of Spanish Science

Treasures and Ghosts of Spanish Science

But was there ever science in Spain? This series of five chapters in which AC / E collaborates aims to disseminate our scientific past. Historians, librarians, scientists, and artists tell us about certain pieces and chapters of our cultural heritage: a medieval manuscript, a Renaissance anatomy treatise, a collection of botanical illustrations, the fossil skeleton of an extinct animal, and an international vaccination campaign. Five episodes that also allow dealing with issues such as the relationship between science and art, the appearance of deep time or the fight against pandemics. A series that wants to contribute to making scientific culture in Spain, made by the brothers Paco and Juan Pimentel, filmmaker and researcher at the CSIC respectively.
