SIFF is now the largest film festival in the United States, the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) runs for 25 days, screens over 400 films, and draws over 150,000 individuals each year. Film screenings are held Seattle's neighboring cities (Shoreline, Bellevue, Kirkland, and Renton), and in multiple venues across Seattle. SIFF, as an organization, believes that “it is through the art of cinema that we foster a community that is more informed, aware and alive.”
Now in its 42nd year, The Seattle International Film Festival is set to run May 19 through June 12, 2016. In 2016 the Festival will screen films and host events in more than a dozen venues in Seattle. We will also bring a week of films to Renton, WA (Thurs, May 26 - Wed, June 1) and two weeks of screenings to Lincoln Square Cinemas in Bellevue, WA (Fri, May 20 - Thurs, June 2), and a week of films to Kirkland, WA (Thurs, June 2 - Sun, Ju). The theme for this year's festival is to "SIFF It Up!"
