The unwritten novel

The unwritten novel

The exhibition and literary meeting is part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Spanish Academy in Rome and is organized at the García Lorca Center with the support of AC/E. They review the present dialogue of literary and artistic forms of creation that are defined, precisely, by the radicality of their literary element, making known the experiences of some writers and artists who have been residents of the Academy thanks to the scholarship program promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

It can be said that literature is one of the youngest arts in the history of the Spanish Academy in Rome. A pioneer institution born 150 years ago and dedicated to the international dialogue of Spanish culture, the Academy was created precisely in the shadow of the grand tour, that fruitful trip to Italy that defines the best of European culture: its hybridity and its impurity.
