Teresa Solar: Ride Ride Ride

Teresa Solar: Ride Ride Ride

Teresa Solar (Spain/Egypt) offers a variety of sculptural forms in bright and playful colours not avoiding the possible critical approach on consumption and desire. The concept of the museum and the imagined idea of a storage room of an amusement park defines Teresa Solar’s exhibition at Index foundation. Objects and language, movement and situation, Meaning and poetry arise not so much from the individuality of each item but from the performative relationship and the conceptual connections to the set as a whole. A previous version of this exhibition has been produced by Matadero Centre for Cultural Creation in Madrid.

Teresa Solar has presented her work in spaces such as Sculpture Park (Koln), Kunstverein Munich, La Panera (Lleida), Het Wilde Weten (Rotterdam) or Der Tank (Basel). She has had a residency at Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart) and has been a visiting teacher at the Stuttgart Kunst Akademie. This exhibition is produced in collaboration with Matadero Madrid and with generous support from AC/E and the Spanish Embassy in Stockholm.
