Temporada Alta is the performing arts festival that takes place in the towns of Girona and Salt during the months of October, November and December. Over the years it has earned the recognition of the sector, audiences and specialised press, and is beginning to make a name for itself among the leading European festivals.
The desire to feature major international names on the programme is complemented by the aim to become a launching pad for talented new performers. All this, together with the inclusion of various genres to cater to different audiences and a carefully studied offering of complementary activities, makes Temporada Alta a must-attend event.
Programmers’ week at the Temporada Alta festival brings together shows aimed at boosting the internationalisation of national artists and companies. It also includes presentations of a few international artists and meetings to discuss artists’ future projects with a view to seeking future co-productions. Last year’s edition brought together 70 professionals from 12 different countries: programmers from Foreign Affairs in Berlin, Festival de Napoli, Théatre Odeon in Paris, and Festival Grec in Barcelona.
This year’s Programmers’ Week will feature 15 prominent foreign programmers thanks to AC/E’s Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture.
