E&G Sommerprogram 2016 is being held this summer for the third time in Stamsund, Lofoten Islands, Norway. As in previous years, it consists of performing arts and concerts every weekend throughout the month of July. The main purpose of the event is to feature Spanish and Norwegian artists in order to foster artistic exchange between the two countries so as to promote future connections and lend dynamism to the Spanish culture sector in relation to that of Scandinavia.
SPANISH MATCHBOX
PERIPHERAL ENCOUNTERS: BODY, IMAGE, WORD.
Contemporary Spanish Culture Week in Stamsund - Norway 2016.
Spanish Matchbox is an event devoted to contemporary Spanish culture in Stamsund (Noruega). It brings together the ways of thinking and aesthetic, political, performative and cultural dynamics of southern and northern Europe in a peripheral setting characterised by its brilliant light in order to contrast, rethink and broaden the repertoire of own and common references, starting from practice through a series of meetings and presentations based on body, image and words.
It is no coincidence that Spanish Matchbox is being hosted by a space for creation promoted by Andreas Eilertsen and Cristina Granados: E&G Teater, a peripheral venue (Stamsund, Lofoten Islands, Norway) and a summer context where festivals (music, dance, theatre…) are part of the landscape, making it very well suited to hosting a project of these characteristics. Spanish Matchbox will mark the start of E&G’s 2016 summer programme.
