Sziget Festival is one of the largest festivals held in Europe and was judged Europe’s Best Major Festival in 2011 and 2014 by Europe Festival Awards. This year the festival is placing particular emphasis on Spanish culture – not only in its usual theatre and street theatre programme but also by providing a space for professionals, which allows groups to show their work to an excellent international audience.
With the support of AC/E, several Spanish groups and actors are performing their shows in Hungary: Caballos de Menorca, Teatro de Automatas, Sienta la Cabeza, Always Drinking Marching Band, Circumloqui, Zen del Sur and Street Theater.
