The Streaming Egos project is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut, the Slow Media Institut Bonn and the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf. It is being developed in six European countries (Germany, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, France and Italy) with groups of thinkers and artists who reflect and subsequently create on the theme of digital identity. The creative process is reflected in an online blog and a digital conversation between artists and internet users. The works will be shown at the NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf as part of the exhibition Ego Update on the future of digital identity.
In an event designed to bring the exhibition to a close in Düsseldorf on 16 and 17 January, the group of chosen Spanish artists is staging a performance based on the working process of the blog. Monoperro will draw on the structure live, Dr. Kurogo’s music will be heard through it, texts by Carlos Rod will be presented and Sonia Gómez will perform her choreography. The resulting multidisciplinary show will reflect on the tangible and intangible aspects of art, creation and collaboration in the digital world. This performance will subsequently be shown at several venues in Spain. Spain’s participation is supported by AC/E’s Mobility programme.
