Stockholm Culture Festival is an outdoor festival produced by the cultural department of the City of Stockholm. It is open and free for all visitors and takes place in the city centre of Stockholm the 14th – 18th of August 2018. Last year’s festival presented over 600 shows and had around 850 000 visits. This is a multidisciplinary festival presenting both Swedish and international music, dance, theatre, circus, art, films, literature and talks.

Spanish pianist Ariadna Castellanos, ‘one of the most interesting Jazz musicians of her generation’, according to Vanity Fair, makes her Scandinavian debut at the Stockholm Culture Festival in August 2018. Both her albums have created quite a stir: F.Black and White (2012) has a Latin Grammy Nomination for best producer of the year, and MJU:ZIK (2016) is a perfect blend between piano and electronic music which got her into the top list of 2016 albums in Spain.
She has done everything from create film music to share the stage with Herbie Hancock, Alejandro Sanz and Richard Bona, so nobody knows quite how to categorize her. Some call her a fusion pianist between acoustic and electronic music, some call her a jazz flamenco pianist and some see her as the classical pianist “gone rogue”. One thing is sure, she has a completely unique and limitless sound.
