Spielart Festival has been exploring new trends and movements in international theatre since 1995 in order to present them to the Munich public every two years. During the 16 days it runs, it brings together plays, performances, installations and cinema, alternating companies with a long track record, new companies and unusual forms of expression and aesthetics.
AC/E is collaborating in this year’s event through its mobility programme with the Spanish company La tristura, which is taking part in the discussion and performance marathon with El sur de Europa. Días de amor difíciles (Southern Europe. Difficult Love Days).
The four members of La Tristura – Itsaso Arana, Pablo Fidalgo, Violeta Gil and Celso Giménez – have focused their work on exploring new languages of the stage through the creation of worlds of their own and a careful use of words. La Tristura is one of the foremost companies on the Spanish scene and El sur de Europe . Días de amor difíciles is a key to understanding the new approaches to the languages of the stage.
