As part of the Brazil 2014–2015 programme, Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) has agreed on the following schedule with several orchestras of Brazil:
-Isabel Costes, musical and artistic director of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Atlántico since its establishment in 2006, is taking part as guest director in the special programme of the Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro OSTNCS together with its director Cláudio Cohen. It is performing at the Teatro Pedro Calmón on 14 October 2014. OSTNCS, founded in March 1979 by musician and composer Cláudio Santoro, is currently one of the leading institutions of its kind in Brazil. In addition to official concerts, its seasonal programme features other social and educational musical activities, an opera festival, an international dance seminar, pop concerts and open air concerts directed at various segments of society.
-Pablo Villegas, a talented guitarist who has performed at historic concert halls such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow and the Musikverein in Vienna, is performing at the Teatro Municipal Castro Alves (Salvador da Bahia, Brazil) on 26 March together with the Orquestra Sinfônica da Bahia. The success of his performances has earned him invitations from directors such Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Carlos Kalmar and Juanjo Mena. He has received more than thirty international prizes, prominent among which are the Andrés Segovia, Francisco Tárrega and Christopher Parkening awards. He has likewise been awarded the Ojo Crítico prize by Radio Nacional de España, being the first guitarist to receive this distinction.
- With an outstanding artistic career in Spain and Europe, pianist Luis Fernando Pérez is making his debut in Brazil with the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, at the Sala Cecília Meireles on 29 May and at the chamber music hall of the Cidade das Artes on 30 May 2015. Luis Fernando Pérez has collaborated with various orchestras such as the Orchestra Simfônica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Orquesta de Castilla y León, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi, Orquesta de la Radio Televisión Española and Symphonic Orchestra of Warsaw. He has been a guest at various festivals: Schleswig-Holstein, La Roque D´Antheron, Festival Richter at La Grange de Meslay, Jacobins in Toulouse and in Spain the international festivals of Santander and Granada, the Quincena Donostiarra and Musika-Musica of Bilbao. Prominent among the albums he has recorded is Suite Iberia y Navarra by Isaac Albéniz for which he received the Albéniz medal, as part of the commemoration of the composer from Camprodón.
- Alexis Soriano is guest conductor of the Orquestra Sinfônica de Minas Gerais. His programme includes Uirapuru by Heitor Villalobos, El Corpus Christi en Sevilla (Suite Iberia) by Isaac Albéniz, Spanish Rhapsody by Maurice Ravel, Suite Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla and La patria chica by R. Chapí. A pupil of Musin and Gergiev in St.Petersburg, Alexis Soriano is one of the outstanding Spanish Conductors of his generation. He has been a guest conductor in such orchestras as; Mariinsky Theater, St.Petersburg Symphony, Prague Symphony, Slovak Philharmonic, Taipei Symphony, Lithuanian National Symphony, Hermitage Orchestra, Filarmonica de Buenos Aires at Teatro Colón, Oulu Symphony, Tapiola Sinfonietta, National of Macedonia, Seto Philharmonic, Regionale del Lazio, English Chamber, St.Petersburg State Symphony, Claudio Santoro from Brasilia, Poznan Theater Orchestra, Lviv Symphony, Kaunas Symphony, among others. Also an Opera conductor he has conducted; “Faust”, “Boris Godunov”, “Madam Butterfly”,"Eugene Oneguin”, “Falstaff”, “Glaura y Cariolano” (Lidon),“La Scala di Seta”, "Barber of Seville", “L’Arbore di Diana”, "Las horas vacías", "La Dulcinea de D.Quijote" and others. In 2013 he got a prize from the Ciurlonis Foundation for achievements in Music, as well as being one of the "100 Spaniards" chosen from different fields for their outstanding careers abroad. In 2003 he was invited by V.Gergiev to take part in the Rotterdam Festival and later as a guest conductor at The Mariinsky.
