Spain Writes, America Reads 2024

INTERNATIONALIZATION IN THE USA OF SPANISH WRITERS AND TRANSLATORS.
Acción Cultural Española and the Spain-USA Foundation (SUSAF) organize this program with the objective of promoting the translation and dissemination of the work of Spanish authors in the United States.

The project is divided into three lines of action:

- Support for American publishers to promote the translation of Spanish authors.
Aimed at authors who have participated in any of the projects awarded by the AC/E PICE and Promotion of Translation programs.
- Support for translators of works by Spanish authors into English in the US.
Spain-USA Foundation Translation Award (SUFTA).
- Promotion of the internationalization of Spanish writers, considering their previous participation in initiatives of interest.

As well as a creator residency program in the United States to strengthen cultural exchange, promote artistic collaboration between both countries, disseminating Spanish culture in the United States and promoting the professional development of Spanish creators by offering them the opportunity to develop their I work in a different creative environment, facilitating access to resources and professional opportunities in the United States and generating professional networks.
