The Seville Festival of European Cinema celebrates this year, from 9 to 17 November, its fifteenth edition with the usual challenge of presenting an attractive programme of auteur cinema, with which you can round off a good track record, and the addition of the awards ceremony of the European Film Academy (EFA) which is always a success. AC/E supports the participation of foreign programmers so that they can learn first-hand about the latest news from Spanish cinema.
The aim of the festival is to promote and disseminate European films and it is an established meeting place for talented filmmakers, specialised journalists and sector professionals. It is committed to promoting young Spanish filmmakers and supporting Andalusian films and firmly believes that today more than ever a film festival must be useful to audiences, films and filmmakers. For nine days it brings together the industry, audiences and critics to view a selection of 200 of the best European films.
AC/E assumes the trip expenses of the following international programmers through the PICE grants:
Russ Collins, Michigan Theater Foundation - United States
Fatima Djoumer, Europa Cinemas - Germany
Jenny Walendy, The Match Factory - Germany
Mirsad Purivatra, Sarajevo Film Festival - Bosnia and Herzegovina
Gaia Furrer, Venice Days - Giornate degli Autori - Italy
Frédéric Corvez, Urban Distribution International - France
Jan Naszewski, New Europe Film Sales - Poland
Jean-Christophe Simon, Films Boutique - Germany
