Roma Festival Barocco 2015

Roma Festival Barocco 2015

Rome’s 8th Baroque festival features the choir Zenobia Scholars, which is made up of young singers who are interested mainly in Renaissance music but also encompass baroque and contemporary music in their repertoire. At this year’s festival, which coincides with the 5th centenary of the birth of Saint Teresa of Ávila, they are performing pieces designed to establish a link with the life of Teresa and the composers of her period. Their participation is being supported by AC/E’s programme for the internationalisation of Spanish culture.

Saturday 5 December 2015 / 6pm
Santa Maria in Monserrato degli Spagnoli
Via di Monserrato, Rome

Programme:
LA TRADIZIONE SACRA NELLA MUSICA SPAGNOLA FRA  XVI E XVII SECOLO
Musiche di T. L. de Victoria

Zenobia Scholars will also perform at the Instituto Pontificio di Musica Sacra, St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the church of Santa María in Portico in Campitelli and the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See.
