AC/E is collaborating with the “Instituto Distrital de las Artes Idartes de Bogotá” (Bogota District Institute of Arts) within the “Foco Cultural España-Colombia” programme (Spanish / Colombian Culture Spotlight) at this edition of “Rock al Parque” supporting participation by the Spanish bands: La M.O.D.A., Bala, Quentin Gas & Los Zíngaros and Angelus Apátrida.
This is one of the biggest free Rock Festivals in the world, now in its 24th edition, to be held between 18th and 20th August at the Simón Bolívar Park in Bogota.
Other performing bands are HMLTD from the United Kingdom, Dancing Mood from Argentina, Antibalas from the United States, Descartes a Kant from Mexico, also featuring a performance by the transgender artist Liniker & Os Caramelows from Brazil.
To quote Chucky Garcia, the Festival’s arts director: "The “Rock al Parque 2018” festival is a continuation of the event's DNA over the last 24 years, whose backbone is rock, but at the same time brings in public, audiences and bands of other music genres; and goes further still to showcase new music experiences”.
