Ana Barceló (Murcia, 1992) is the creator selected for this residence that promotes the exchange of writers between Spain and Korea. With a duration of two months, between September and October 2023, it takes place at the Toji Cultural Foundation de Seúl in Seoul.
Ana Barceló has a degree in Stage Direction and Playwriting from ESAD in Murcia, in Philosophy from the University of Murcia and a Master's Degree in Theater Creation from UC3M. In 2020 she was awarded the Artistic Residency Scholarship for Assistant Directors of the Spanish Theater and the Naves del Español in Matadero. In parallel, she writes and directs her own projects, highlighting the direction of "Apnea", with her own dramaturgy (2021) and "In the solitude of the cotton fields", a text by Bernard-Marie Koltès (2022). In 2023 Ediciones Mutis publishes "Apnea" after winning the second prize at the XIII Mutis Festival for Best Long Text. He has won various awards, including the CreaMurcia 2018 for "Así que pasen cinco años", the second prize in Short Films and Documentaries for his short film "La culpa", the 2nd prize in the XVII Moratalaz Classic Theater Contest for "Fuente Ovejuna… Who killed the Commander?” and the New Filmmakers Award for her script "Reconciliation" (2019).
These types of projects allow creators to participate in international collaboration networks, and the organizations that organize them to promote their international mobility, encourage national creative production and strengthen links between cultural institutions in Korea and Spain. It is organized by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and the Toji Cultural Foundation, with the support and participation of the Student Residence.

The selection of the jury will be announced on this website.
All those natural persons, with the capacity to act and who have their residence or main field of action and creation in Spain, with an accredited literary career, may participate.
The call is addressed to writers:
- Over 18 years.
- Spaniards or foreigners residing in Spain and in possession of N.I.E.
- They must have published at least one work in a professional publisher and have, at the time of submitting their application, a literary project in progress (novel, short story, essay, poetry, short story, theater, etc.)
- Have knowledge of English or Korean, level B1 (European framework).
