Queer Lisboa 2017, 21 International Queer Film Festival

Queer Lisboa is the sole Portuguese International Film Festival dedicated exclusively to screen LGBT themed films, and movies dealing with subjects or aesthetics related to issues such as gender, identities or bodies, a genre known as Queer Cinema.

Queer Lisboa 21 will be held in Cinema São Jorge, in Lisbon, between 15th and 23rd September 2017. The festival comprises Competitive Sections (Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best 'Queer Art' film, Best Short and Best European School Film Short), as well as non-competitive sections such as Panorama, Queer Pop, Queer Focus and the Opening and Closing Nights special screenings.

AC/E supports the presentation and Q&A of the film "Pieles", by Eduardo Casanova, and "Los Objetos Amorosos", by Adrián Silvestre.

Queer Lisboa was created in 1997 and is Lisbon’s oldest film festival. Through the years the festival consolidated its reputation internationally and at this moment it is one of the most recognized festivals of its genre in an European level and worldwide, for the quality of its programming and activities as well as the guests that it attracts.
