Proyecto 43.2

Proyecto 43.2

The Latin American Centre for Theatre Creation and Research – Centro Latinoamericano de Creación e Investigación Teatral (Celcit) – is an institution devoted especially to dissemination, training and research activities in relation to the theatre. Its interest is centred on newly formed companies whose work is based on exploring new languages for the stage. In this connection the Teatro Celcit Argentina is hosting Proyecto 43.2, which is run by the company with the same name and directed by María San Miguel.

This project, which is part of the Teatro por la Paz (Theatre for Peace) programme, is an artistic initiative with a strong educational focus – chiefly the idea of the need to reconcile different ideological stances and the people who represent or have represented them in Euskadi (the Basque Country) in some way or another. Proyecto 43.2 thus presents an artistic and educational project in which the theatre is a tool for mediation that encourages reflection and dialogue.

AC/E is collaborating in the project through its mobility programme by facilitating the participation of the whole company.
