Books from Spain', dedicated to promoting the sale of translation rights for Spanish titles in all official languages on the way to the 2022 Frankfurt Book Fair, in which Spain will be the Guest of Honor Country.
The portal begins its journey coinciding with the celebration of the most atypical Book Day, postponed commercially to July 23 due to the pandemic. In its opening ‘Books from Spain’ already has the participation of 97 publishers and literary agencies, small publishers and even large groups, which will show their selection of titles for translation, giving a very complete perspective of the Spanish publishing scene.
The general director of the Book and Promotion of Reading, María José Gálvez, highlighted from 'Books from Spain' that “it favors the internationalization of the publishing sector through digital media, allowing its virtual international presence and, therefore, saving all obstacles of the physical assistance in these moments ”.
