The Slovene Pranger Poetry Critics Festival, which is to take place for the fiftienth time running at the former Habsburg Spa Rogaška Slatina and Slovenia’a capital Ljubljana (June 26th –July1rd, 2018), is dedicated to poetry review, poetry translation, international encounter and readings. The Pranger Festival is one of three well-known Slovene poetry festivals. Pranger is, in fact, the first event in this region to have gathered critics and poets around the same table.
AC/E supports the participation of Spanish authors Juan Kruz Igerabide and Beñat Sarasola. His visit to Slovenia is organized within the focus that the festival has been dedicating for several years to different European languages, this time the chosen languages are two Iberian languages, Euskera and Spanish. This edition of the festival can also be considered a continuation of the Pranger edition of 2015, when the language in the focus was Spanish, but now for the first time it is done with the participation of two Spanish authors: a literary critic and poet (Beñat Sarasola ) and a poet and author of texts of the LIJ Juan Kruz Igerabide.
