Poesía en Paralelo Cero 2018

Poesía en Paralelo Cero 2018

Poetry in Parallel Zero is an event that brings together great figures of literature to Ecuador for a week. In 2018 the festival celebrates its tenth edition and AC/E supports the participation through the PICE's grants of the Spanish poets Daniel Rodríguez Moya, Luis García Montero and Javier Bozalongo.

This encounter was born with the idea of presenting together national and international poets and turning Ecuador into a reference of the literacy world during a week. When poets of different ages and sensibilities join together they can offer a holistic vision of contemporary poetry. Parallel to the festival, publications and competitions are held: the National Poetry Competition in Parallel Zero and, since 2013, the International Competition. The Poeta de Dos Hemisferios Award is also presented, which celebrates the poetic and personal work of great voices. Poets of the stature of Luis Eduardo Aute or Juan Gelman have received these recognitions.
