AC/E is collaborating through the Mobility grants by supporting this event where Spanish artist Perico Sambeat will work together with the Paraguayan jazz quartet Joaju. This is an opportunity to exchange experiences from both countries, exposing the fusion and influence of autochthonous musical forms and rhythms.
This musical meeting will showcase the fusion of the artistic projects that have been carried out both in Spain by the saxophonist Perico Sambeat, and in Paraguay by Joaju.
Alto saxophonist Perico Sambeat is considered one of the great Spanish jazz musicians. He has great prestige with over twenty albums as a leader and more than a hundred as a sideman. Highlights of his work are his concerts with Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Tete Montoliu, Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, among others.
