Pams Link 2019

PAMS Link is a programme designed to showcase a broad range of performing arts pieces that run concurrently with the Performing Arts Market in Seoul. Through contests, collaborative festival programs and scheduled performances with related organizations, PAMS Link expands the scope of the Performing Arts Market in Seoul and provides an opportunity to experience the varied spectrum of Korean performing arts as well as a glimpse into the rich performing arts infrastructure in Korea. Moreover, Performing Arts Market in Seoul proposes to act as a link between participants and many performing arts groups, allowing them the opportunity to expand their networks even further.

AC/E and FECED (State Federation of Companies and Dance Companies) support the participation of the invited company Humanhood to participate in Pams Link with their show "Torus" on October 8, 2019 at the Sogang University Theater in Seoul This collaboration is part of the Spanish Dance Companies Internationalization Program FECED-AC/E, which takes place throughout 2019 and aims to facilitate the internationalization of the dance sector by promoting the presence of Spanish companies at fairs and exhibitions. other international events in the sector.

Humanhood is a dance company formed and directed by the Catalan Júlia Robert Parés and the British Rudi Cole, authors of shows that combine science, spirit and creation. The company's work derives from its fascination with the complexities of Western physics and Eastern mysticism and explores the deep connections that exist between these seemingly abstract fields.

"Torus" is a piece for five interpreters that takes its name from the geometric figure. A circle that revolves around an axis with a point anchored in the same plane is a three-dimensional donut-shaped figure that is present everywhere, from an apple to the magnetic field of the Earth, and that is described in oriental practices as the energy field. This piece is a journey that starts afar, in the cosmos, and ends on planet Earth, where humans share and express a common rhythm, fusing the energetic synergy and physical vocabulary of Humanhood in a tribal hurricane that flows effortlessly. Light, movement and sound are the core of a show in which the perception of time is altered to recreate a world where rhythm is expressed visually, through sound and movement.
