New Features of the PICE Mobility Programme 2021

After almost a decade of uninterrupted calls supporting hundreds of Spanish cultural professionals, the PICE Programme has established itself as a strategic tool for Acción Cultural Española. Through it, we promote and facilitate the international presence of the Spanish cultural sector, prioritizing emerging proposals and those that reflect the plurality and cultural richness of our country.

Our programme offers two lines of support that complement each other:
- PICE Visitors: It facilitates, assuming part of the costs, that Spanish cultural entities act as hosts for international professionals who come to our country to get to know our cultural and creative sector first-hand. This knowledge on the part of foreign selectors enhances the presence of our creators in projects outside of Spain.
- PICE Mobility: It makes it easier for foreign cultural entities to invite Spanish professionals to participate in their programs and projects. When an international programmer is interested in incorporating the participation of a Spanish professional in a project, he has the support of the PICE to assume part of the costs of that participation.

In 2021 we maintain these two lines of support but we have improved them to offer an even more transparent, objective and efficient Programme.
We have incorporated the first improvements to our Mobility PICE 2021 open call. Its new call incorporates these new features:
► Greater flexibility in the dates to submit your application: We open the calendar so you can submit your application in advance if you need it. From now on, the general calls are open and continuous, with quarterly resolutions. This also allows us to incorporate, if deemed necessary, new specific calls for an area of ​​creation, a territory or specific lines of action.
► Rules tailored to each call: In addition to the general framework conditions for the programme, we publish other specific rules for each call. In this way, we adapt their requirements to the characteristics of each one, maintaining coherence with the requirements established in the general framework.
► We improved the selection process: We have redefined the objectives and actions of the PICE strategy. We refine our scales by setting scoring criteria and measurement indicators that allow us to better evaluate the selection process.
► We expand our support to new types of projects: We continue to collaborate with face-to-face projects and we also begin to support blended and online activities.
►We increase the expenditure items that can count on our support: We expanded the catalog of expenses by incorporating new categories expressly linked to the holding of virtual or blended events.
► We increased the budgetary limits: We incorporated new economic limits by subject areas, entity and participant or artistic group, in order to adapt more to the real needs of the applicants.

We continue to renew ourselves and shortly we will also publish new bases of the Visitors PICE, in addition to a new line of action of our Programme oriented to Residences.
