A New Job to Unwork At

A New Job To Unwork At is a multidisciplinary project that is running at the Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibition (LACE) Project Space from 9 March to 17 April 2016 and New Haven Artspace, Connecticut, in the autumn and winter of  2016–17.

The project is curated by American Andrew Kachel and Spaniard Clara López Menéndez, who is supported by AC/E through the Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture. The project consists of an exhibition and a symposium on different art forms in the post-Fordist society.

A New Job To Unwork At (a title taken from Valerie Solanas’ SCUM Manifesto) is intended as a research platform where the participating artists can present their work, their production processes and the repercussions of this materiality on the economy. The artists selected to take part include Rafa Esparza, Dylan Mira and Lee Relvas.
